Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data RAJENDER TRADER collects when you use Rajender Mart, why we collect it, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the rights you hold over it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Last updated 7 August 2026

What we collect

Your name, contact details and delivery address, what you ordered and how you paid, plus ordinary technical data such as your IP address and the pages you visited.

Why we collect it

To take, deliver and invoice your order, to answer you when you write in, to prevent fraud, and to meet Indian tax and consumer-protection obligations. We do not sell personal data.

What you control

You may see, correct or erase the data we hold, withdraw a consent you have given, nominate someone to act for you, and complain to our Grievance Officer or to the Data Protection Board of India.

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean RAJENDER TRADER, the operator of Rajender Mart. “You” means any person who visits the site, places an order, or otherwise shares personal data with us. Read this policy alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Who we are

What personal data we collect

Data you give us

  • Identity and contact data — your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Delivery data — the shipping address, city, state and PIN code you enter at checkout, and any delivery instruction you add.
  • Order data — the items and sizes you selected, the order value, the payment method chosen, and the invoice raised against the order.
  • Account data — where you create an account, your saved addresses, wishlist and order history, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
  • Correspondence — anything you send us through the contact form, by email, by telephone or on WhatsApp, including any photographs you attach to a return or complaint.

Data collected automatically

  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you viewed and when.
  • Session data — a session cookie that keeps you signed in and holds your shopping bag together while you browse.

Payment data

Payments made by UPI are processed end to end by our payment gateway partner. We do not receive or store your UPI PIN, one-time password, card number or any banking credential. We retain only the transaction reference the gateway returns, which we need to reconcile the order and to process any refund. For Cash on Delivery orders, we hold no payment instrument at all.

We do not knowingly collect data revealing health, biometrics, political opinion, religion or any other special category of information, and we ask that you do not send such data to us.

How we use your data

We use your personal data only for the following purposes:

  • To accept, pack, dispatch, deliver and invoice the orders you place.
  • To send you transactional messages about an order — confirmation, dispatch, tracking, delivery, cancellation and refund.
  • To handle returns, exchanges, refunds and warranty questions.
  • To answer enquiries and complaints you send to us.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent orders, payment fraud and abuse of the site.
  • To keep the books, invoices and records that Indian tax, accounting and consumer-protection law requires us to keep.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which pages and products are used, so we can improve the site.
  • To send marketing messages, but only where you have asked for them and only until you tell us to stop.

We do not use your personal data to make any decision about you by automated means alone, and we do not carry out profiling for advertising.

Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires consent, we ask for it in clear language at the point we collect the data, for a stated purpose, and we process the data only for that purpose. By placing an order you consent to the processing needed to fulfil it.

Some processing does not rest on consent: we may process data for certain legitimate uses recognised by the Act, including complying with a legal obligation, responding to an order of a court or authority, and preventing fraud.

You may withdraw consent at any time, by writing to grievance@rajendermart.com. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect processing already carried out, nor does it release either of us from obligations attached to an order already placed. Where the data is needed to complete an order in progress, withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer fulfil that order.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We disclose the minimum necessary, to the following categories of recipient, and only for the purpose stated:

  • Courier and logistics partners — your name, delivery address and mobile number, so the parcel can be delivered and, for Cash on Delivery, so the amount can be collected.
  • Payment gateway — the order reference and amount, so a UPI payment or refund can be processed. The gateway is the party that handles your payment credentials, not us.
  • Hosting, email and analytics providers — who process data on our instructions in order to run the site, send transactional email and report aggregate traffic.
  • Professional advisers — accountants and auditors, where required for statutory filings.
  • Government, regulatory and law-enforcement authorities — where we are required by law to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Every processor we appoint is bound by contract to use the data only as we instruct, to keep it secure, and to return or delete it when the engagement ends.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We keep the number small and the purpose narrow:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — a session cookie that keeps you signed in and holds your shopping bag and checkout together. The site cannot work without these.
  • Local storage — your shopping bag and, if you are not signed in, your wishlist are kept in your own browser rather than on our servers.
  • Analytics cookies — where analytics is enabled, it reports aggregate traffic such as page views and referrers. It is configured not to be used for advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, signing in and checkout will not work.

Where your data is stored and how it is protected

Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider and, in the ordinary course, is held and processed in India. The site is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and administrative access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to run the business.

We follow reasonable security practices and procedures of the kind contemplated by section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires.

How long we keep your data

CategoryRetention period
Order, invoice and tax recordsEight years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required by Indian tax and company law.
Delivery and courier recordsTwo years from delivery, for dispute and claim handling.
Account dataFor as long as the account remains open. Erased on request, subject to the tax retention above.
Correspondence and complaintsThree years from closure of the matter.
Marketing consent recordsUntil you withdraw consent, and for one year afterwards as proof of the withdrawal.
Technical and analytics dataFourteen months, in aggregate form.

When a retention period ends, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and of the processing we carry out.
  • Correction and completion — have inaccurate or misleading data corrected, and incomplete data completed.
  • Erasure — have your data erased where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, subject to any retention the law requires of us.
  • Withdraw consent — as easily as you gave it.
  • Nominate — appoint another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Grievance redressal — a readily available means of complaining to us, described in the next section.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at grievance@rajendermart.com from the email address registered against your orders, telling us which right you wish to exercise. We may ask you for enough information to satisfy ourselves of your identity before we act. We respond within 30 days.

The Act also places duties on you as a Data Principal: to give authentic information, not to impersonate another person, and not to raise a false or frivolous grievance.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of a child under 18 years of age, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. Clothing for boys is bought by an adult on the child's behalf, and the account and order data we hold is the adult's. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the following officer answers complaints about the handling of your personal data:

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy to reflect a change in how we work or in the law. The current version, with the date it was last updated, is always published on this page. Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
